BUSAN, South Korea – TDICI joined senior officials from Vietnam and South Korea in witnessing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Strategic Cooperation between the People’s Committee of Can Tho City and the Busan Metropolitan Government, a landmark agreement aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, innovation and sustainable urban development. The MOU establishes a comprehensive framework for cooperation in key areas, including smart city development, digital transformation, high technology, logistics, green growth, education, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchanges. By bringing together government agencies, businesses and development partners, the agreement is expected to strengthen economic connectivity and generate new momentum for regional development.
Addressing the ceremony, senior leaders of Can Tho and Busan reaffirmed their shared commitment to translating the partnership into tangible outcomes by building on each city’s comparative strengths. As the economic hub of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, Can Tho seeks to attract greater investment, advanced technologies and management expertise, while Busan aims to expand its strategic engagement with one of Southeast Asia’s most dynamic and fastest-growing regions.
As a key facilitator of the cooperation initiative, TDICI participated in the working group supporting the preparation and signing of the MOU, underscoring the company’s role in fostering dialogue and promoting investment cooperation between Vietnamese and Korean stakeholders. The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for collaboration in industrial development, infrastructure, innovation ecosystems and sustainable investment projects aligned with the long-term development priorities of both cities. Building on the momentum created by the MOU, TDICI reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with domestic and international partners to support its implementation and advance initiatives that promote sustainable economic growth, investment and innovation in Can Tho and across the Mekong Delta.
